Birthday Cake
Ok so for my birthday I made my own cake with my new way cool tools that my cool aunt Holly gave to me. I made a cake that totally says everything about me!!! So let me tell you about it, but first the whole moo cow thing is because my dad has always had that be my nickname and now everyone calls me that so I decided to do a cow cake and have it give a little bit of me silly self and so I put some bright lettering on it.
So I made a chocolate sponge cake... yum... and then I iced it. Then when I was done doing that, I started rolling out and coloring all of the fondant and it can be kinda hard but it is worth it. Also I get the store bought kind for a store in Salt Lake called Orson Gygi and it is a bakers paradise, but you can also make your own. Then for my colors I did white, black and then a bright mix of red and pink and the die you can get pretty much any craft store that sell cake stuff and then pretty much anywhere else. Then came the fun part.
After all of the hard work I got to do the fun stuff... cut out the fondant... So I got out my Cricut Cake and cut out all of the fondant. I did cow prints with some of the cool tools, and then i cut out the words moo cow in the redish pink. Then I started putting it all on. Ok so I put the white down on the cake and trimmed it so it would fit the cake perfectly. Then I put the cow prints on and it started looking sooooooo cute, then after that was all on and looked good I started putting on the letters. Then when I was all done with that the cake was ready.
Also I have like the coolest mom and she bought me bright colored candles that turned the flame the same color as the candle wax, so my cake was very colorful and bright. I never would have thought it looked so good, but I guess the saying practice makes perfect is right.

FIRST CAKE
To start off my name is Megan and for Christmas I got a Cricut cake and some way cool supplies. They are way fun and I already know how to use the machine because my sister has a cricut expression. It is really fun to use and very, very easy. All you need is the right tools and you are set.
I made my first cake and it was really fun. I kinda forgot to take lots of pictures and so I just picked the best one out of them all. It was a lot of fun and I have already learned some new things too.
My theme for this cake was a winter snow flake cake and it was really fun to learn how to make. So we started off by making a chocolate cake, let me tell you now that it is not as easy to decorate unless it is pound cake, because regular cake just falls apart and is really hard to decorate. Then we let that sit for a while and then we iced it with vanilla icing. Then we got to the fun part which is the fondant. So we picked out the colors we wanted and what we wanted to cut out. So we did regular white all around it, and then we did two different colors of blue and cut out a couple of snowflakes and then in red we did polka dots. That was really fun just cutting them out and then we stuck them on to the cake. Then came the really fun part, EATING IT!!! IT was really good and we got to share it with some of my close family.
